Design & Proposal Engineer Shipbuilding

As the Design & Proposal Engineer your task is to develop new vessels and optimize the current product portfolio. You translate the customer requirements to one of the standard-designed vessels.

The D&P Engineer prepares proposal packages, including technical calculations, budgets, and specifications and determines the estimated delivery time. 

Your work includes

• Designing or selecting vessels tailored to the needs of the client;
• Creating ship designs, cost estimates, and build strategies; 
• Offering technical support during the entire contracting process; 
• Enhancing designs for cost, quality, and functionality; 
• Coordinating with stakeholders, both internally and externally, for the success of the project; 
• Keeping track of product development, planning, and overall progress in the first phase

You

• Have a BSc or an MSc in Marine Engineering or Naval Architecture 
• Have at least 5 years of experience in ship design; 
• Have excellent communication skills and can express yourself well in business conversations. Preferably in both Dutch and English;
• Are flexible, customer-oriented, and a team player;
• Are okay with travelling to clients all over the world.
