The Design & Proposal Engineer has a key role in the process of designing the most beautiful ships. You'll work closely with various departments to optimize product development and the end results!
Your tasks are:
- Translating client requirements into designs;
- Preparing ship designs which include the naval architecture and specifications;
- Calculating costs for supplemental work and identifying cost-saving opportunities;
- Providing technical support during contracting phases;
- Optimizing the standard designs;
- Liaising with internal departments and third parties;
- Tracking the overall progress in the pre-sales phases;
- Managing the internal stakeholders;
- Engaging in product development and optimization;
- Setting up the project planning;
- Developing build-strategies;
You
- Have a bachelor's or master's degree in Marine Engineering or in Naval Architecture;
- Have 0-5 years experience with ship design;
- Are customer-orientated, flexible, and structural;
- Are able to work on multiple projects at the same time;
- Have a business level fluency in the English language, both written and spoken;
- Are eligible to work in the Netherlands;
