Engineer Electrical Design

Your focus lies in the design and implantation of electrical systems for dredging equipment.

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will work in a small team of E&A Engineers and work closely with the mechanical engineers. Your work exists out of both standard and customer-specific assignments, and based on parts delivered by subcontractors, you will have technical substantive management duties. 

Your responsibilities are

  • To determine the functional system of the dredging equipment and hardware selection;
  • To create information for production;
  • To work out the system integration;
  • To set up the demarcations and specifications;
  • To support the engineering project manager and report to them;

 

You have

  • A Bachelor's degree in (maritime) Electrical Engineering or a secondary vocational education in a similar field with several years of working experience;
  • Experience with making electrical (Eplan) drawings;
  • Relevant working experience in either maritime/offshore sector or in heavy machinery;
  • Knowledge of/Experience with electrical drives 
  • A good command of the English language, both verbal and written, and you're willing to learn basic Dutch;
  • Experience in programming PLCs and familiarity with the TIA Portal Programming environment (pre)
