Lead Mechanical Engineer

Become a key role as the lead mechanical engineer and ensure all mechanical systems meet the industry standards.
Not one day will be the same as the lead mechanical engineer for the Ship Engineering department.
As the lead mechanical engineer, you will be the spin on the web. You will be responsible for leading the engineering and mechanical design aspects of the projects, with a specific focus on Methanol propulsion. You will work closely with all relevant departments and mentor junior engineers on your team.
Your responsibilities are
- To lead the engineering and mechanical design aspects of the projects;
- To ensure compliance with all industry regulations and standards;
- To monitor the progress and to make adjustments when necessary;
- To provide training and guidance to junior team members;
- To lead complex calculations;
- To coordinate the work with the EPM
- To ensure the quality of the engineering work.
You have
- At least 5 years of experience in engineering and mechanical design;
- Knowledge about the alternative propulsion systems and mechanical systems;
- Have project and organizational management skills;
- Have experience in the maritime industry and with the standards and regulations
- Have strong communication skills;
